| April 5, 2011 - Fred has been invited to participate in the Bricktown Art Festival in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma July 23 & 24, 2011. This is a juried event Artists and craftsmen will line the street, Mickey Mantle Dr, in the Bricktown Entertainment District. Bricktown is Oklahoma’s most unique entertainment destination, is the vibrant home to many restaurants, galleries, nightclubs, sporting facilities, shops, attractions, condos, and a spectacular canal, in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Show Hours: Saturday 10am - 5pm & Sunday 11am-5pm. Please make plans to attend and stop by Fred's booth (booth number will be here when assigned). |
| April 2, 2011 - Fred has been invited to participate in the Mayfair Juried Art Show on May 28th and 29th in beautiful mountain town of Cloudcroft, New Mexico. This outdoor show has been a Cloudcroft tradition for 34 years, and is a favorite stop for many artists. If you have been to this show in the past, you know what a success it is. Show hours will be 10:00am to 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday in the covered pavilion along the "main drag" in Cloudcroft. | February 28, 2011 - Fred has been invited to participate in the 2011 New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair, in Albuquerque New Mexico, June 25-27, 2011. This juried event featured the work of New Mexico resident artists and craftspeople. The fair is held indoors at the Manual Lujan Events Center at Expo New Mexico (formerly NM State Fairgrounds). | January 5, 2011 - Fred is returning the website ordering process to an in-person basis. The constant changes and programming requirements for maintaining automatic credit card processing have diverted too much time from Fred's photographic practice and pursuits. Customers may still order using their credit cards, personal checks, money orders and PayPal, by calling or emailing Fred with their orders. Please do not send credit card information via email. Fred will call you to complete your credit card orders. |
| December 2, 2010 - Fred spent his birthday planning his 2011 schedule. Among the planning items are: his 2011 art fair schedule, field seminars and workshops and reserving time for custom photo expeditions. He will continue to increase his public photographic offerings with both new projects and favorites from his legacy body of work. |

participated in the
2010 Artists of New Mexico Arts
& Crafts Show, held in
Albuquerque, New Mexico during and on the grounds of the Albuquerque
International Balloon Fiesta.
Our 10x10 booth had a great many visitors, from all over the planet.
This is an interesting venue, revolving around the hot air balloon
events and exhibits. We introduced our new line of fine art
quality photographic note cards (as shown in the center of the booth
photo below). We had to get up at 3am every morning to
get ready, drive from our niece Heather's home (before the predawn
traffic jams) to the Fiesta and prep the booth.
Our week was badly disrupted on Thursday Morning when Fred had a fall while doing the morning routine. He broke his right leg and had to be hospitalized for surgery that night. Fred's son, Aaron, took over management of the photo booth while Eva came to Albuquerque to be with Fred. Fred was taken home to Portales on Saturday, and Eva returned to Albuquerque Sunday to help Aaron with the booth take-down. Fred is now recovering and doctor's reports have been good. We sold some prints and met some more wonderful people. Fred wants to thank all those who offered their best wishes and our booth neighbors who helped Aaron at the show. |

and Eva participated the
2010 New Mexico Arts and
Crafts Fair, in Albuquerque
this past weekend, June 25-27, 2010. This juried
event featured the work of New Mexico resident artists and
craftspeople. The fair was held indoors at the Manual Lujan Events
Center at Expo New Mexico (formerly
NM State Fairgrounds).
Veteran artists told us that attendance at the fair was down from
previous years, likely due to the economy and the related perception of
art pieces as "non-essential purchases". We are grateful to
have had a pretty good fair in comparison to many of the booths.
We spoke with many visitors about the photographs on display all
things photographic. We sold some prints and made some
contacts with both buyers and other artists. Hard times or
not, we feel that the effort was worthwhile and plan to submit work
to be juried for next year.
